To Copenhagen
After lunch in the Lodge, on Sunday, Mother’s Day, Jeanette took me to the visitor center in Brunswick where I caught the bus to Portland and then to Logan to the plane. The bus was on time and the plane was on time. the only problem was that the wait in Hamburg was 3 1/2 hours and that was tiring. I was not really able to sleep on the plane. Then the plane to Copenhagen was okay but small. We got in to the airport and I found the train to the center of Copenhagen and then the walk to the little hotel. It is called the Cabinn City and the room is very tiny. But it is very clean and very shipshape. It is like a little ship’s cabin. Free Internet and a comfortable bed. I don’t think I need anything more.
The weather is grey and in the 50s it is starting to drizzle so I am not sure that I will go out tonight. I may just stay in and read.
We are just a couple of blocks from Tivoli the amusement park. Behind the hotel is an apartment house and when you look over it you can see people riding a very scary ride coming up five stories perhaps.
